We manage & operate a business at this address. We have been doing so for many years. The past couple years, we've seen a major upswing in crime in and to our building. We have a parking lot in the back of our building that backs up to an abandoned railway. There have been reports of many homeless families living back there in abandoned street cars. We have done what we can to provide lighting to the back of the building, but that apparently has not been sufficient enough. I would like to propose a street light or two be installed towards the back of the parking lot, closer to the railway. Recently, we had a massive break-in which is resulting in us paying $1000s of dollars for repairs. Small businesses like us can only do so much to prevent crime. We need the city to assist us. We have lost tenants/businesses due to said crimes. If the city wants to keep businesses within its boundaries, you need to help us stay safe.
