New street lights on Hine Place make us feel like our street's been transported into the Gulag! Can they be adjusted or changed to reduce the light pollution? It is as if there's a spotlight shinning into my home's windows at night.

I live at 7 Hine Place and agree with Martha. Two nights ago when the light came on I though ET had landed! The bright cool light frontally illuminates three homes so that you don't even need a porch light! Cool direct beams of light also stream through our windows which is upsetting. It's bizzare!
The light is way to bright, omnidirectional and a upsetting cool and hazy light. I would like to see a warmer, dimmer light illuminating the street if need be. I don't believe street lights shouldn't fully illuminate houses and their interiors as these do. This is a residential neighborhood
The pole is 1067 across from 5 Hine Place on the South side of the street near a garage.
Can we meet with an appropriate representative from the City or whomever to discuss a change before it happens.
Lighting for safety needs to be considered but needs to be appropriate. Hine Place suffers from light pollution. In addition to street lights, spot lights from private building are also aimed at our houses.

Our house is bathed inside and outside at 7 Hine Place with this weird light.
They also installed the light fixture up high and not perpendicular to the street. We'd like a professional installed fixture with warmer, dimmer appropriate light (downlight not omni direction spot like).

We are delineating Street Lamp issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to Dec 31, 2015 are being closed. If your Street Lamp issue still needs to be addressed, please create a new issue by selecting the Street Lamp service request in SeeClickFix. Providing a pole number and/or a more precise location is important. Once your issue is submitted, the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department will acknowledge the issue and create a maintenance/repair work order.
