I have been driving my children to DHS for 4 years now and today was the first day y'all had a person directing traffic at the stop light...it was awful!!! it took 3x as long as usual. Going east everyone was honking because they wouldn't let our side go but rotated between the other 3 directions. He was not a police officer just some old man in a uniform who said he was hired by the city. PLEASE MAKE HIM GO AWAY PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO GO THRU A 4 WAY STOP!!!

The man directing traffic was Larry Peck, the crossing guard at DES who is a vocal opponent of converting that intersection into a roundabout or any other configuration. With the support of the "Save Dunwoody" crowd, he announced at city council that he would serve as a traffic control officer during peak times to show that a single officer was better than reconfiguring the intersection.
Thank you for your insights. It looks like "Save Dunwoody" is quite misguided.
