Description

With the DPD's recent focus on crosswalk safety, now might be a good time to do some maintenance/education on sidewalks. Take a walk up N Peachtree from Brookhurst all the way to Barclay Dr and you will see what I mean. The middle school never mows their weeds north of the entrance and weeds are encroaching all along that stretch--no point in having an extra wide sidewalk if half of it is blocked with weeds. Is the DeKalb school system required to follow the Dunwoody code? If so they are in violation.

Also on the opposite side of the street from the middle school many homeowners have allowed bushes to grow pretty far into the sidewalk.

Also, I don't know what can be done about this, since it is up to the individual tenants, but it would be WONDERFUL if people wouldn't put their trash cans and yard waste in the middle of the sidewalk causing pedestrians to have to walk in the street. Maybe a education campaign in your emails?
