Description
Large tree leaning directly on power lines directly in front of 98 Newhall Street. The tree has leaned before, but has never rested on the power lines. The sidewalk is also buckling.

Good eye. Was the sidewalk buckling earlier?
Compare: http://seeclickfix.com/issues/48917-falling-tree which was reported 2 years ago, and then finally fell this past weekend, causing major disruption.

Thanks for sharing that, Mark!
If there was any buckling, I'm sure it wasn't to the extent it is now. To hear that a similar issue caused such disruption makes me want to make sure this is attended to right away. This is a very tall tree in comparison to the rest and I sure would cause damage if it falls - regardless of the direction.

Still, no attention has been made to this tree. The owner of the house closest the tree has noted that large limbs frequently fall after heavy storms. Now that the Parks Department is paying more attention to problem trees, perhaps this one can be added to their list?:: http://www.newhavenindependent.org/index.php/archives/entry/city_launches_tree-trimming_2.0/
