Main Street is starting to shape up next door is the new tire palace that looks nice and 411 Main Street looks great Those trailers do look trashy what are they!!??
Yes, the town manager should find out who has those trailers parked there. If they are parked without the legal permits tequired they should be moved immediately.
The building inspector has contacted the owners of the property to have the containers removed. If they are not removed the Town will take appropriate legal action.
The property owner does not own the trucks nor did he give permission for them to be placed on his property. He has been working to get them off but about six tow companies want nothing to do with it. He is continuing to try to resolve this issue as he has since they were placed there.
My guess is, the trucks belong to a contractor here in town, who feels very entitled to do whatever he wants in Stoneham, because he is originally from Stoneham, lives in town, has his business here in town and is currently broke. The tow companies probably don't want to deal with towing these vehicles because it is a third party issue and they figure it would be difficult to collect the towing and storage fees associated with towing these vehicles. This is the same bloke who had to be taken to court to get him off the RRROW. He cleared off everything from the RRROW adjacent to his property except the fence which goes across the width of the RRROW. He didn't take it down and isn't going to. Again, he does whatever he wants. He has at least one, possibly two selectmen in his back pocket, another reason he gets away with so much. So wish Stoneham would take back their town.
If someone was “parked” on my private property that I did not know, or want there I would not wait until it was reported via a website. Those trucks have been there for a LONG time and you mean to tell me there is nothing the owner cares to do about it?! Hmmm seems to be more to this and after reading Cindy’s post I think I am right.
If I were the property owner I would take legal action. I agree with the above comments....there seems to be more to this and it is time for Stoneham to take back our town.
I'm confused. If the property owner does not own the trucks and did not give permission for the two trailers to be there why are there now 3 trucks and a tractor? Something does not smell right.
Yes, Dan. I agree. Why still have these trucks not been removed? Why does the town not do something about it? They area between the new tire center which looks great and the hardware store is an eyesore. Who owns the property? The owner should be fined for every day the trucks are there.
Thank you to whomever got them off the property! Let's keep the town looking good please and not wait for people to "notice" and complain - do your jobs please.
