Description

Residents of the new Capital Riverfront community REQUIRE Zone 6 parking permits. We are currently registered as "No RPP"--No Residential Parking Permit--yet we are TAXPAYERS and HOMEOWNERS in the District of Columbia. I understand the effort to make the new riverfront community a "walkable and public transportation-friendly" place but that doesn't work for everyone and in any event we should have the right as residents to park on the street in our zone in the district. Zoning our area as commercial to accommodate the exorbitant fees the Nationals charge for parking simply isn't fair. In fact, it's highway robbery for those of us who live in this community.
