On both sides of Blake Rd., near Whitney Ave., there is tremendous erosion of the greenbelt (due to heavy rains AND disappearing/broken/nonexistent curbs). On the north side, very close to Whitney Ave., the erosion is right up against the asphalt, so repaving/patching will be required if this is not fixed soon (note that Blake Rd. was paved just a few years ago, so this would be a real shame). The curb issues are due, I think, to the way the road has been paved over time; instead of the asphalt being taken way down to a lower level, the road is repaved mostly on top of many old layers, so that it keeps getting higher than the curbs. The heavy rains lead to water jumping the low/broken curbs and eroding the greenbelt, threatening the asphalt road.
