Although this heaved concrete side walk was made worse by the strong winds of Hurricane Irene in late August, 2011, over the ensuing months the rate at which it becomes more dangerous progresses & will require a portion of the city side-walk to be closed in order to evaluate & effect the safest way to remedy the dangers of this hazard to pedestrians, strollers and skateboarders. A cone to mark this hazard may help bring it to the attention of pedestrians and thus avoid serious injury on city property.

I tripped and fell over this one, so that's when I reported it. You really can't see the lip at all. I'm lucky I didn't bust a hip bone. This one and a few others that I've reported are really dangerous for pedestrians, and the City should get on it before someone gets hurt badly.

The heave has gotten bigger since first reported, indicating that the huge City oak tree is likely to come down. This thing is dangerous. Come on, City.
