There have been discussions about this. Everywhere there is an encroachment a certified letter have to be sent to the property owner to cut it back. With the volume of work we have had we haven't had a chance to research the owners and send the letters. It will be quite a time commitment administratively to deal with it before we can go out and start cutting. It is an area we are committed to dealing with. We have gotten some of the property owners on the corner to cut some of their landscaping back. We will be addressing it, but it will take a while. Thank you for taking the time to comment on this and for your patience with the process we have to follow.

Thank you for acknowledging this hazard. Hopefully the bike path will be opened up soon so we won't be forced out onto a very busy road and into oncoming vehicular traffic.

I know the DPW is flooded with problems and hazards all over the island. Here is a picture taken on September 6th showing how the path is nearly closed off now. Cyclists and walkers are still being forced into a very busy roadway as a result. Hopefully this extreme eyesore and hazard could be moved up a few notches on your list.
