This intersection operates on fixed time like most downtown intersections with no detection loops, so that is why it cycles to the side streets with no vehicle present. This is done so all approaches get serviced. If you would give a time of day this is occurring and from what approach (coming down Person from Lane or turning off of Peace) and there may be some adjustment in the coordination plan especially if coming down the main street corridor (Person from Lane).
