Description

I have reported seeing rat on the vacant lot that is next to my home since 2006-2010. The lot has been surveyed twice on both occasions I have told no issue was found even though I have seen mice and rats with my own eyes. Rats running across the street and into the alley. I rat from the outside got into my home. I've seen a dead Rat on the grass by the curb of 15th and U street SE. After being totally frustrated by the response from the City. I started paying for Terminix to service my home that borders the abandoned lot. I can no longer afford to pay for these private services for a public City problem. I need the City to take ownership of Rat abatement services. The is current a dead mouse in the front yard that was killed by the bait station managed by Termini - they are coming to dispose of it. It was found by the location of my Supercan. I need to fully understand the duties and responsibilities of DC gov't regarding rodent control for vacant lots that border properties of hard working tax payers. I don't believe I should be paying Terminix to perform City services.
