I live at the corner and watch this traffic all day long. The gravel lot is used by businesses to access their loading docks out back. They know very well to stop when exiting from the gravel onto Hargett/Snow. The existing stop sign on Snow should definitely not be removed. If anything, there should be a stop sign added to the Hargett side of the intersection because people almost always blow through the one on Snow. I don't think free-flowing traffic both ways around this corner is a good idea unless cars are prohibited from parking on the street within ~25ft of the corner on both streets. You can't park close to the intersection on the Hargett side which is good, but at times there are cars parked so close to the intersection on the Snow side that in order to get around the corner (which is now a blind corner because of the car parked so close to the intersection), you must travel into the other lane. If a truck, or fire engine, traveled that corner at decent speed and encountered incoming traffic, it would be game over!

The stop sign on Snow Ave is really easy to run. If anything, maybe adding a stop sign to the Hargett St side would be the best thing to do. I'm not trying to nail the fire department with this video, but I couldn't believe the timing

Public Works has evaluated the intersection for multi-way stop sign installation at the intersection of West Hargett & Snow. The intersection does not meet any of the multi-way stop warrants that are required for installation. Closing issue in SCF.
