This issue is currently being looked into by a Public Works Inspector. Updates will come shortly.

For about 2 hours during the morning commute, the signal for the westbound I-285 off ramp and northbound Ashford Dunwoody have a concurrent green signal for 10 seconds during each cycle of the light. This overlap is necessary during this heavy traffic period to prevent the off ramp traffic from backing up onto the interstate and causing a safety issue with higher speed traffic. At all other times of day, the ramp and Ashford Dunwoody have exclusive greens.

Please advise of how the commuter, especially visitors to the perimeter area, can avoid this conflict with concurrent green signals.

The evening conflict is controlled by police officers directing traffic; but the morning traffic does not have this safety measure in place.

If traffic flow does not allow for access immediately onto Hammond Drive it may also be accessed by Perimeter Center West.
