Description

This side of Beaver street is a cliff at the edge of Corona Heights Park. Multiple times in the last few weeks, debris from the cliff has been piling up on the sidewalk. It ranges from the texture of sand to small sharp rocks the size of ping pong balls (see photo).

It seems likely that either plant growth activity or something else at the top of the cliff is causing higher than average crumbling of the cliff side, though some folks are concerned that the cilff might be more unstable and that there might be a more dramatic rockslide at some point.

I've been on this block for over four years and have never seen debris from this cliff before.
