Description

The resident who owns the 2-3 lots at the corner has constructed a man made berm with a tall thick hedge that sits well in to the easement. The berm and hedge, which sits 10 feet from the curb, obstructs the view of traffic as a driver would look south(or left). A driver has to nose the front of his or her vehicle nearly to the point of being in the north bound lanes of Harper in order to safely look both ways. There have been some very close calls and sooner or later there is going to be a severe accident at this intersection. Also, the lack of sidewalk down Harvard Shore and along Harper poses a risk to pedestrians. The 'trail' (yes...legitimate trail) on Harper runs as close as 2 feet to the street and rough. When they paved the street, they poured the approach for the side walk. 6 feet of concrete turns into stones pebbles and other hazards. There was a petition that circulated the neighborhood which EVERYONE signed. When is this serious issue going to be dealt with? It is definitely not within code. We want safe sidewalk and an unobstructed view of Harper for motorists. Please.
