Description
Please install a No U Turn sign on Pines Blvd at 63rd Terrace. Previously the number of people attempting to make a U-Turn at this location his been tremendous because they don't want to wait at the westbound left turn lane for the Turnpike. These folks impede east bound traffic and don't always enter safely cutting across 3 lanes of traffic during rush hours. Now with the new west bound off ramp from the Turnpike, folks are exiting there and making the u-turn to go east. This is not how the new exit was intended and it makes for a long wait for those of us attempting to turn into our neighborhood to get home. Please do something to stop this!

The U-Turning traffic is most prevalent in the AM and PM Peak Hours. The U-Turning vehicles do not significantly impact progression of eastbound traffic on Pines Boulevard and there is no crash pattern associated with the U-Turn maneuvers.
The residents of the Pine Village community historically, and most frequently, enter and exit their community at the signalized intersection at SW 64th Way. By doing so they can avoid any conflict with the U-Turning traffic. The Department has no plans to restrict westbound U-Turning movements on Pines Boulevard at 63rd Terrace or 64th Avenue
