We have a problem tenant in our SRO building that has harrased other tenants, graffittied racial and homophoebic slurs in public areas. The building is owned by the Patel family. It is being run by David Patel. The real estate company Lingsch Realty, that is in charge of managing the building does little to assist tenants. Two of my neighbors have a restraining order on this tenant who goes by the name of Tom and leaves in unit 7. He gave Lingsch Realty a 30 day notice of vacating his unit and the day before he was suppose to leave he resended and was allowed to stay in the building. He still harrasses tenants. The tenants upstairs have kids under age six. This man comes out of his room and screams from the lower level at the children to be quiet and its not even 6pm in the evening. Our SRO rules say there is to be no noise between 10 pm and 7 am. He is a public nuisance. The tenants of my building are at our wits end when we can't get the people who collect our rent to enforce the rules and regulations.
