Description
This is the least busiest intersection in the area, yet the traffic light is the most over done operation I've seen! There is no right turn on left allowed, and the green light only allows one side to go at once. There are 4 separate turns for each side to turn left, and then 4 separate turns for each side to go through straight/right. There is no left turn on yellow (when clear). It is obvious that they don't want people traveling near these expensive sub divisions!

This light is screwy!! I live right there and there has been 2 bad accidents since this new light system has been put in place. NOTHING IS NORMAL ABOUT THIS LIGHT!! It is the total opposite of the old way that traffic lights work and ppl are getting confused and hesitate and it is a hazzard to say the least. I sit there when wanting to turn either way and look at the traffic, then look at the light and back at the traffic before I feel safe to turn cuz I'm not sure what the traffic light is going to allow at any moment. Fix this please.

YES -This light is a hazard because there is HEAVY traffic flow in the morning & afternoon when there is lots of traffic going to Eisenhower High School, Malow Jr High & many other elementary schools (buses, cars), along with high traffic volumes during rush hour traffic coming to/from Rochester. I drive this every day to take my son/exchange student to/from school for 3 yrs now & there is MORE traffic headed West in the morning and more traffic in the afternoon going East. This light is also hazardous because sometimes the light will allow 1 car to go & then all of a sudden it turns yellow 1/2 way through the light. Not very efficient. The night of school conferences, it took me 1/2 hr to go 5 miles to the school bec this awful light had traffic way backed up to Schoennher - a mile & only 1 car could get through the light & also stuck. Also, when it is foggy or very cloudy - this light gets STUCK & does not turn for west bound traffic on 25 mile. This intersection is very hazardous for an improper traffic light in the wintertime bec the east side of Jewel/25 mile - there is a nice hill that gets icy & hard to stop as you are going downhill. I have seen MANY accidents at this light esp when school is getting out. 25 mile traffic volume in the past 11 yrs has increased a lot bec of all of the new subs on 25 mile (900 home sub planned where the golf course used to be)in Macomb. This malfunctioniing light was very bad (still is) when 26 mile construction traffic was using 25 mile as an alternate route. Someone needs to please address this area soon.
