I've had problem with this light as well. It works if you hit the beg button at the "correct" time. This seems to be a widespread issue throughout the city. If you hit a beg button at the wrong time (just before the light turns green), you will never get a walk signal. Of course, the engineers know when to hit the beg button so they don't replicate the problem when on site and end up closing the issue.

I don't think the window of opportunity is very long. I use this crossing about twice a week, and I have not seen the walk sign go on in at least 6 months.

Walk lights have been uncovered, but they still do not work correctly. Waited 2 cycles and gave up. This has been open for more than 3 months now.

I just checked today (10/28) and the walk lights are still inoperative. I guess this is not a priority for the city.
