Description
A single car exiting the State Park onto Rte 9 or Rte 50 gets an almost instantaneous green light (even if they're making a right) and tens of cars on the highways have to stop from 55MPH and idle at a red light. This is shamefully wasteful. The DOT needs to adjust those lights so that the single car has to wait until no traffic is approaching on the highways and also make it so the highway does not get a red light if the car exiting the park takes a right on red or a car entering the park trips the light.

I had to slam the brakes on really hard, and there was only one car exiting onto rt 9.
they could have gone right on red, after the traffic let up.
DOT needs to re-think this.
