Thank you for posting your concerns. The tree removal is a part of the Whitney Audubon Complete Streets Project. The layout of sidewalks are being altered as part of the process and a new curb line is being designed. As a result, existing street trees are being removed to accommodate these new changes, which will incorporate street trees along that new curb line. This issue is being closed as there is an existing issue on SCF where we will be posting construction updates throughout the construction timeline. As a part of that issue, a graphic rendering has been included to show the overall look of the project upon completion.
