I live across the street, and it is a write sore..there has to be something done..there are rats that live in there...i moved here 3 years ago and it just gets more over brown each year, you can't even walk down that side cus the garbage.

A neighbor also reports: "It has brought critters, the yellow house next to it now has raccoons, so many skunks & possums."

3 months ago workers spent a short while hacking down trees. And nothing more has been done. The attached photo (if it loads properly!) shows what a mess the lot still is. It also still attracts illegal dumping. (There's a discarded TV on the sidewalk in front of this lot, just outside the left of this photo.)

Here's a closeup photo of what is now a fire hazard.

I just left a message at the Fire Marshall's Office - 203-946-6232 - pointing out that the lot now is a fire hazard due to the massive pile of dried brush, twigs, leaves, etc., and poses a danger to the multi-family immediately next door, No. 42 Third St. (BTW these are the kind of issues that your elected alderperson should be following up on...)
