This was reported previously and nothing was done. Many near collisions occur here between bicyclists (even moped riders) and pedestrians, all forced to the outside on this blind curve. The address is just east of 1300 Western Blvd. The bushes are turning into trees, and a bad accident is inevitable.
This issue has been reported before and left open for months and nothing has been done. In fact this whole length of Rocky Branch (from the prison to pullen) is falling into a bad state withe the pavement being taken over by vegetation and root heaves.
This is the same issue and location as http://seeclickfix.com/issues/1056366 which was closed by the City because "A number of See Click Fix issues have gotten lost in the system..."
I spoke with a Parks employee the other day and he said that nothing could be done because it was DOC property. If it's causing an issue and is encroaching into the greenway area, the City should have the right to trim the back to the edge of the ROW...?
That response (the Parks employee's) is utter crap. The path has been cut to almost 60% of the width on a blind curve add to that is the these bushes are planted too close to the pavement they maybe destroying the path (just look at what the over grown has done on Hollybranch further down toward Pullen).
Whoa, now. That is not our official response. Let me get something directly from our Greenway administrator before we get too worked up based on heresay.
