This (posting to SeeClixFix) is just one of various ways we are trying to get this problem resolved....any one thing, i.e. simply calling the police, is not going to do it either.

With issues such as this the primary benefits of SeeClickFix are 1. to alert other neighbors of the problem and 2. to let neighbors know that the reporter has initiated the process of resolving the issue. If the person(s) causing the problem happens to subscribe to one of the several watch areas that cover this address, it also lets the "offender" know that neighbors are aware that their behavior is creating a problem--and that the neighbors intend to do something about it.

Folks, you need to call NHPD right away. 203-946-6316. It would help if more than one neighbor calls to report this issue. Enforcement of these issues can't be done after the fact.

We had a major incident coming from 192 Greenwich Ave. on Tuesday. One of the "gentemen" liviing at that residence went on a drunken rampage threatening to kill his neighbors, fully exposing himself to children in the area, and ripping up shrub and flowers from the strip between the side walk and street. It took at least four phone calls and almost 30 minutes for the police to respond. During the course of one of the calls to police when they were told the "gentleman" had pulled down his pants and was now parading up and down the street exposing himself, the dispatcher was heard laughing in the background. An arrest was eventually made. However, regarding the vandalized plants, I was told by one of the officers that it was against the law for ME to have planted anything on "State Property." I replanted. Does anyone know the name of the leutenant who replaced Leutenant Streeto when he retired? I am APPALLED at the lack of respect for the residence of Greenwich Ave. and couldn't be more certain that if we were living in Westville or the Cove our concerns would have been treated far differently.

This has only been going on for about 2 years now. Obviously the police--paid by YOUR tax dollars--and mayor--also paid by YOUR tax dollars--are in no rush to fix it.

OK I just saw 5 dirtbikes raising hell on greenwich ave,now they had to come from some where.How many cop cars did they go past to get to greenwich ave,on city point!!!!!

Joker, CALL THE POLICE !! I know you said that they don't come, but calls ARE prioritized so if there are not shootings, etc going on the cops will come! Its probably too late now, but please at least LEAVE A RECORD!

A Block Watch meeting will be held this Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at 6:30. The meeting will be held at the same location as last time--in the newer building of the Sound School (at the end of Sea Street and South Water street), in the library which is on the second floor.

UPDATE on 99 Greenwich: at last night's [Feb 15, 2012] Management Team Meeting Chris Soto of LCI said they're working on this problem. A difficulty with serving notices to landlords [via certified mail] is that the landlords often don't sign for them, so they get returned to LCI. Because these particular owners are out-of-state, having a marshall serve them is not an option. So the next step will be for LCI to clean it themselves & put a lein on the property, then forclose on the property due to the lein. Unfortunately, all of this can take 6+ months. (I also noticed on the Assessor's database that the current owners, Emory & Yolanda Moody, paid $405,000 for this property on 6/29/2006--more than double what the previous LLC owner paid only 9 months before that--$180,000 on 9/16/2005. I've not checked to see if a Lis Pendens has been filed for this property, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, which could explain the accelerating decline taking place here. This is exactly was caused our current housing meltdown: property flipping via improperly secured mortgages with bloated bank appraisals and little or no money down.)
