Having parked at 10pm in a completely legal space near this massive store front the police informed me at 3pm today the car (registered/licensed/insured and driven the night before with current zone 1 sticker) had been reported abandoned for days by the store front. When I asked the guy in the store about it he was hostel and said they are running a business and call in all cars blocking "thier" parking. Last time I checked a company wasn't suppose to waste the polices time trying to intimidate neighbors into not parking in legal street parking spaces for a day! This store acts like it owns the block of Washington between 21st and 20th street and requests legally parked cars to be towed (which results in our police tracking down the owners freaking them out when they say the car was found abandoned and when the car turns out to be legal then the owner and law enforcement have both had their time wasted).Our tax dollars paying for this business to harass people. When I asked them to at least wait a day before wasting everyone's time I was told they can't have cars parked where their customers park. If they want a place for their customers they should get a parking lot. The street is legal for everyone and our time and police shouldn't be wasted on this company!
