Description
Cars traveling east on Dunwoody Club past the Orchard Park center are stopped for two or more minutes at the light at Mt. Vernon leading into the short section where Mt. Vernon and Dunwoody Club follow the same route. When given the green light, it is impossible to make it thru the next intersection, as the traffic light changes to red only a few seconds after the green is given at the first intersection.
At the Mt. Vernon/Dunwoody Club split in front of Brooke Run, cars previously detained at the western intersection are stopped for another two minutes until given a green light. This means it often takes over four minutes to go the 1/4 mile between these two intersections.
Could the lights be resynchronized to improve east-bound flow through this section?
