Similar to the people that park in the no-parking lanes at supermarkets and stores.
They seem to think they have special rights.

An officer was dispatched to this area around 10:30 am they found no violators. They will continune to monitor the area. It would be helpful if we knew the approximate time that this was occuring.

The situation is ridiculously unsafe. It's surprising that a child hasn't been run over by one of the cars that zooms in and illegally parks here about once every 5 minutes. The only way to fix the issue is some sort of barrier / set of planters. It could be done for about $100 dollars.

The space in front has had many changes over the years.

It had a garbage can, then no garbage can, then back again, then gone. Then back again. I guess there was an issue who was responsible for emptying the can. http://seeclickfix.com/issues/55402-garbage-can-overflowing

There was a Post Office drop box once upon a time. That's gone. Walk to West Rock if you want a dropbox.

There actually were planters a few years back. They weren't kept up, fell into disrepair and were removed.

The only consistent things on the store front over the years are the cars.

I see there is a nice new, and quite large, beer sign posted on the west elm side of the store front. Is there some ordinance that regulates signage of this type. This really looks horrible.

The vehicle in the 2 photos above was parked directly in front of the store entrance door today at noon. Appears it is still an issue. Reopening.

He put in bollards and it seems to be fixed. Thanks to everyone who helped out. BTW, if anyone is looking to buy a market I think there might be an opportunity here.
