Description
The traffic light at Martin King and Rock Quarry is on a very slow cycle, it usually takes this light up to five minutes to change even though there are no cars going in the opposite direction.
It seems kind of useless to be waiting so long for the light to change for no reason.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. I will update this issue when I have heard back from them. Thanks for reporting.

What is funny is that you can check into this intersection on FourSquare under "Worlds longest red light"

Our signal technician checked this location and found a detector problem. All other approaches seemed to be working correctly. We will get this dector repaired and monitor this location for efficiency. Thanks for reporting!

This light is still acting up, especially outbound on Rock Quarry.

I will ask our traffic engineering staff to take another look at the signal timing.

The traffic field technician checked and verified that everything was working correctly while he was on site. The current traffic signal cycle length is set so that a vehicle should be serviced within 90 seconds at the most. We will continue to monitor this location and make adjustments as needed.
