I've often been stopped at this light while on Baltimore Pike with no vehicles needing the green light in or out of Grandview or Chelsey Drive. Is this light on a timer or does a sensor set it off?

You are SO right! This light is insane! They did road work and had to take the light offline. When it went back online, it "reset" and now stays green for only 5-20 secs on B'more Pike but a constant 20-30 for a seldom used side street and an office complex! I'm *thisclose* to calling 911 about it.

Maybe this light is being used to "calm" traffic headed in/out of Media. I don't agree with it but that could be some decision-makers excuse for this anoying signal. If there's is no reason anyone can offer, then the timing needs to be adjusted.

Needs to go blinking yellow after 8 p.m. when it's constantly stopping a dozen cars to let one out that would get out in seconds with normal traffic flow. Also cross-street green is WAY too long. Huge annoyance and waste of fuel, brake linings, people's time.
