Description
As long as I have lived in brentwood. (over 10 years) crime has been ongoing in this apartment building. The police end up visiting the place a few times a month. Lately they showed up looking for a person who robbed a bank. The tenants are always out on the lawn, high or drunk. I'm sure some good people live there, but the ones that are bad ruin it for the rest of them.
Apparently the landlord is a very old man, and his son runs the operation. They seem to continue to rent to low life people who continue to get in trouble with the law? What can be done to force the landlord to do background checks on tenants? I personally don't feel very safe living nearby. Nor do the neighbors.
Can anything be done to rezone the are such that it cannot be an apartment anymore and must be a home?

Do what I did, sell your home. Brentwood is a dying area because of all the trash moving in from Mt. Oliver and Carrick. The police are useless, they are to busy sitting at GetGo or trying to write traffic tickets to do anything about actual crime. They forget their job is to PROTECT and SERVE.
The council allows to many homes to be turned into rental properties. The United Way putting all those rude refugees in the area.
The insanely high property taxes that you get nothing for. Sell it's only getting worse. I went from a house paying $3,200 a year in taxes on a home assessed at $51,900 in Brentwood to a house assessed at $170,000 and paying $4,500 a year in taxes about 20 miutes away.
