Description

At around 2 PM today, I was on an uptown "D" train that was puling into the station. As we pulled in, a young-ish (teenager ? young adult ?) male ran at a break-neck speed toward the exit at 127th Street. He had just grabbed a woman's belongings, presumably as she exited the local train that sat across the platform. No police in sight, anywhere.

A good samaritan approached her and asked if she was okay, had they grabbed her things, and she said, "Yes." We were directly behind the criminal(s) (someone said "them," so there must have been more than the one I saw) on the stairs but they were very, very fast.

The guy I saw was black, probably under 25, on the taller side and heavy set. He wore dark pants and a long white t-shirt. He was not in evidence anywhere on the street.

No police in the area of the 127th Street exit, either.
