A. This is a severely dangerous intersection. Absolutely needs to be made more safe. Doing nothing is not an option at this point since people are getting run over by busses.

It seems every other busy on-ramp south and west of here has an officer helping direct traffic during rush hour/busy events. Many corporate parking ramps do as well.
I would like a traffic cop during Twins stadium events and end of work day rush hour.
April 26 after a twins game, a car accelerated toward me in the intersection, I ran, and as they passed me, I could have touched the driver side window.
A neighbor/witness/near-victim saw the car posted in the above picture from April 28th. He said the car almost hit him running a red light, he could see the driver was a man texting. The texting driver then hit the other car & the above pic was the result.
Approximately 2 weeks later, (walking a 45 Lb. white dog), around 4:30 pm, another car (I could see he was on the phone) almost hit me. Again, the car was less than an arms length away.
I often try to avoid this intersection but there are times when that is not possible. I always fear for my safety there particularly, sometimes waiting through several lights if the drivers entering the 394W/94W on-ramp are speeding, aggressive, don't seem like they see me or speed up as I approach the intersection.
This will be my 24th consecutive summer living in Mpls. I love it here, but I do think this is one of the most dangerous intersections to pedestrians in the 612.
