Been trying for two years now...best of luck to you on getting this fixed. The county seems to think that its not that bad. Actually Metro Parkway from Groesbeck to Jefferson and back is a chewed up, potholed, patched up mess. It is like driving on railroad tracks the entire ride. Someone from the county needs to live in Harrison Township and have to drive that way every day like we do!!!
Where are our tax dollars being spent? The money and jobs in order to get this work completed will benefit the majority of people. Get it done! Where is that stimulus, funding grants, emergency, federal, state and county money going?
This stretch of road is an embarassment. How bad do roads in Macomb County have to get before preventative maintenance, or repairs are done? Why do our roads have to be in this condition? It's counterproductive to promoting our region.
that whole road needs the lights changed back. it is stupid that you finally have 3 lanes that go all the way down, and now you have to stop at every light.
Getting worse every day, folks are not even driving on the service drive to get onto I-94 east because the road is so bad - they are staying on Metro Parkway and then turning right to get on the approach. It is like driving on the worst gravel road in town. Please someone do something and quick!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just went that way today - Goodness the road is HORRIBLE!! I don't know how anyone is safely driving on the eastbound side at all. I can not believe that a major road like Metropolitan Parkway is in such a shambles! It almost seems like as you cross Harper you are entering the twilight zone of road repair.
Neither Clinton Township, Harrision Township or the county wants to do anything about it since its in the "poor" (non-elite) sector of the townships. They just figure its good enough for those kind of people.
Take a look at the maintance of the landscaping. Metro/Harper has crumbling curbs, dirt ruts on the shoulders, over grown weeds, litter....Conversley at Metro/Garfield--beautiful landscaping that's well maintained and groomed, well timed traffic lights, sign enforcement (nothing nailed to telephone poles or stuck in the ground there ).
