Description
Expand Big Spring International Park across Williams Ave. into the location of the current Downtown Huntsville Holiday Inn. Connect the two parks with an interactive pedestrian bridge (Chicago's Grant Park bridge is an example), provide an amphitheater for performances (Miami photo), create recreational venues, add green space for activities, and design water features [fountains] for the community. This would further expand the park’s purpose for events, health, and relaxation.
Relocate the current Downtown Huntsville Holiday Inn to Constellation, inner Downtown, the intersection of Monroe and Clinton, or the newly-proposed Gallatin St. Mixed-Use Corridor.

I think there are already plans for a new hotel to go where the Holiday Inn currently is. I vote for a new hotel, especially if it is a nicer one. I think the same guy who build the Embassy Suites wants to redevelop the Holiday Inn.
