Description
Two young males pulling wheelies in traffic all afternoon on chatham, atwater, lombard and surrounding streets. Problem is, looks like the are riding hybrids, something between a dirtbike and a regular motorcycle. They're still loud and obnoxious, and I say confiscate them anyway.

I don't know much about law, but i think i understand why laws and regulations exist.
Dirtbikes are illegal because they are not safe on the roads.
These kids would still be braking the law if they were riding their legal bicycles with their mothers' kitchen pans in the back.
There are laws and ordinances that prohibit excessive, unnecessary and unreasonable levels of noise. They need to be enforced. Bottom line.
People who ride excessively loud dirtbikes, modified motorcycles or cars, or play their music above the acceptable level for the human ears, are braking the law. It's unhealthy for too many people, including themselves. They are just too arrogant to even realize that.
My freedom stops where yours starts, my parents taught me. So your freedom stops where mine starts.

If you know where dirt bikes, quads and ATVs are garaged, report it to the New Haven Police Criminal Intel Unit. The officer in charge is:
Sergeant Karl Jacobson
New Haven Police Department
Criminal Intel Unit/Narcotics
One Union Ave, New Haven CT
phone: (203) 946-6098
Fax: (203) 946-6293
e-mail: kjacobson@newhavenct.net
He will respond to emails and calls. If you report a known ATV or dirt bike location to him, he will investigate and confiscate the machines.

SeeClickFix New Haven Nation, time to make some noise of our own. Spring has sprung and again dirtbikes are flying up and streets, through parks, and on sidewalks, terrorizing the city.
On April 28 (Thursday), give the mayor’s office (203 946-8200) to let her know that it’s time to track down the bikes and confiscate!! More calls equals more action and fewer dirtbikes on the streets!!

For information on storage locations of ATVs and other illegal vehicles, please call (203)946-6098 (reports can be made anonymously). Community members are always welcome to notify their respective District Manager; however, it’s important that people don’t telephone their District Manager to report an incident which is currently taking place, but instead telephone the incident into the non-emergency line to have officers dispatched. We appreciate your concern and help in addressing this matter.
