I disagree. The purpose of this site IS to report issues within the city be them blight or otherwise. Nothing against Mr. Blackwell, but he can easily receive e-mails when someone posts to this site. If he is not currently getting them (many in Ansonia government are) then he needs to be added. In 2014 people who are already stretched for time should be thanked for posting a problem for investigation. Not asked to take even more time out of their day to make phone calls.

Please don't take offense at my question- I'm genuinely curious and maybe you know the answer - Is ClickFix an officially sanctioned means of reporting problems in Ansonia. If it is, I think that's great. (It seems like it would be a very efficient conduit and I see that there's a way for local governments to become partners.)

The mayor's office posted on this very site last winter that it was an "important resource" and was being monitored. You can also see many officials get copies of all posts e-mailed to them. If Ansonia is officially paying SeeClickFix.com is unknown (the site sells it's services to municipalities). However, YES... officials in Ansonia and Derby do see posts here so "official reporting" may not be the right term. However, it is MUCH more efficient for residents to post here and discuss problems then making a dozen phone calls.
