This bridge is now three months past the scheduled completion. What is taking so long? This is very frustrating!

When will this bridge be open????

I drove by the bridge yesterday and it is still closed cause the railing on either side has not been replaced. I feel this is political bull crap from the Parks Dept., another State Street bridge.

I understand your frustration. While in the Park, bridges are maintained by the Engineering Department. and they are managing this project in partnership DOT who funded the work. From the last update we received we know that the project is nearly complete, but unfortunately due to the historical nature of the bridge the side truss / supports had to be replicated and the manufacturer still has not completed and delivered. Without the side railings the bridge can not re-open.
