On Saturday the RWA met with New Haven Fire Department representatives and determined the hydrant is leaking past the valve leathers. The NHFD will be having their Repair Shop address the problem.
This is a duplicate report (see 1082082). While the hydrants are owned and maintained by the City, the RWA is dispatching someone to check on this hydrant. On Saturday May 17 the RWA met with New Haven Fire Department representatives and determined the hydrant is leaking past the valve leathers. The NHFD will be having their Repair Shop address the problem.
Update - The NHFD needs the RWA to fix a valve so the work can be performed. The work has been scheduled for May 29, and once completed will enable the NHFD to repair the hydrant.
