Upon Investigation AWD determined that there are no catch basins in the vicinity of Dove and Myrtle Ave. A dip in the street is the cause for the pooling of water.

Does this mean there is no solution? The floods (especially in the spring and summer) pose a public health issue in the streets and sidewalks--I would appreciate a fuller response, thank you.

This may be exacerbated by price chopper parking lot. Google satellite image would indicate offsite drainage. The lot definitely drains down Elm on the other side.

That's an excellent point! I was caught in the flood walking back from the price chopper one day (strong flow of rushing water) lost my sandals and my balance...

Also, there are visible catch basins on Dove and Irving (one block away)

This issue will be brought to the attention of our sewer foreman, who will further investigate in the morning.

The sewer dept has cleaned the catch basins out and everything is ok. There is a leak on a homeowners service as well and it is their responsability to fix and he is aware of it. Code Enforcement has also been notified that the leak has not been fixed yet Thank you.
