Why should I not use my real name on this site?

Sometimes it is best to remain anonymous depending on what you are reporting. Most do not use their real name.

XYZ I gotta say your sounding a bit paranoid, unless your reporting drug dealing who really cares?
Real names mean real people reporting and its not like your posting your address and phone number.

I already reported this issue a week ago, and it was acknowledged by the city but nothing has been picked up. Thanks for calling attention to it again!

You know what? Until the DPW fixes their arcane policies on bulk trash, this mess is going to continue to happen. I REALLY wish they would address the issue instead of just pretending that the current system is working, because it's obviously not. It's very frustrating to see so much dumping around the neighborhood.

The bulk pickup policy works for those who follow it. For those that don't want to wait for a pickup they can haul it themselves to the transfer station. The trash that's frequently under the overpass is done by those with no respect for the rest of us who use the system and follow the guidelines. Lastly, I agree with Tim above. There needs to be more police presence or a camera for the Front Street underpass because not more than 2 weeks will go by before someone else dumps there.

The bulk pickup policy is very exclusionary actually, so it's no wonder that many just dump the items for DPW to pick up one way or the other. I'm certainly not saying it's okay to dump items, but I definitely understand, after multiple run-ins with DPW, why people resort to it.
