I have been in contact with DEEP; but thought a follow up from town officials would help. The building is at the end of Water Street by the Scantic River. There is a section of roof and walls missing, as well as graffiti everywhere. I have seen kids partying and having fires at least a dozen times of the years, some times Enfield PD can not respond in time. It is a hazard and asking for trouble. I would love DEEP to explore opening it up as a small park on the river. At the very least, I would love to see the structure dismantled. It is unsafe and very ugly. I am writing this on behalf of my neighbors as well (from Glen Arden Ln)
