How I understand it's the homeowners that have to take care of the trees now since the Shade Tree Commission is gone. You may want to call the borough to find out. But if you do need a tree trimmed in front of your house you need to get a permit. I also think you may have to get a professional to do it. A couple of years ago I called about a tree in front of my home and they told me they come around every two or three years. Everyone is on a schedule of when they would be trimmed.
