Description
Greetings
This winter was a bad one. It brought up a problem that I reported a few years ago that has resurfaced. We NEED to have the stop sign at the end of our road returned to the way it was when we bought the house.
We live at 663 Fairfield. There is only one stop sigh there now. Making those that live at the end of the steep incline dirt road stop before entering Felt. This winter, we HAVE to go full speed to make it up the hill and then make a quick stop at the top of the steep hill, which is not possible on the ice. We are always afraid that the oncoming traffic that does not have to stop will hit us.
When we bought the house, there were two stop signs stopping the traffic on Felt. This made the intersection safe. I was told the man on the corner complained because it was in his yard. Well I fear for my life. So does everyone on the road we live on. Plus the dirt road gets torn up by the need to make a sudden stop at the top, short precarious intersection. There is only about a ten foot level area to stop. In the ice, it is not always possible.
I hope this year we can make a change. Put it back the way it was. PLEASE.

i have not heard back yet. UI would also like the person to drive a little car like a focus in the winter up the steep hill. it is not easy unless you go full speed, which on the hill is not easy to do. Sometimes I do not make it to the top. i have to go back and start again. then when i do get up there if i stop, it is back to the bottom again. please help me.

still no change for the sign. there is no snow yet. but i know it is coming. just like with my husband and i. time slips by and we did not get everything we wanted done in the yard this last summer. i know you did the land survey. so i know it is just a matter of time. i hope it gets done before i have an accident at the top of the hill.

still waiting. please do not close this matter or at least respond as to why you did the survey and did not take it further.

still waiting for this to be corrected. there will be an accident if you do not help. the dirt road is hard enough without having to stop at the top of the hill.

it has been a long time. let us start from the beginning. when i moved into this house, the stop sign at the top of the hill went the other way. then it was changed. you now have to speed up the hill in the snow to get to the top and then make a sudden stop at the sign. i have repeatedly gotten stuck doing this. i am inn my 60's and cannot get stuck. the city did a survey of the land for the man that complained the sign was o his property. it would not be and needs to go back to the way it was in the first place. i am afraid every winter.
