Description
The driver of the grabage trucks on my street pick up the garbage with the automatic truck lift and spill trash on the ground and just leave it there for the wind to blow around the neighborhood and when they do get out to pick something up that is just too big to leave there they get out yelling and swearing like it's someone elses fault that it's on the ground. If they don't like or want to do their job right then maybe they should get a new one.

I'm sure the senior garbage employees get the routes with the lift trucks.
Maybe these senior drivers would benefit from going back to riding on the back of a truck and dumping garbage buckets by hand into the back of the trucks for a few weeks?!
Maybe they'd appreciate their cushy job better then!?

Gee I don't think any of these jobs are 'cushy'. Perhaps the garbage that is being thrown in these larger cans is NOT in indivual bags and when the top opens, all these loose odds and ends fly about. See if putting all the garbage in indivually ties bags helps to stop this.

I think that a good portion of Troys "garbage everywhere" problem is because most of the lids on the garbage cans are long gone.
People fill up these lid-less cans with loose trash and it's blown all over Troy. I've got 5 lid-less big black trash cans in front of my home. My entire street is almost all lid-less cans.
Homeowners and landlords won't pay the $50+ for a new garbage can with a lid (from the city) so the root of the problem will never be solved and we'll always have trash blowing all over Troy.

This is a problem throghout the city, perpetuated and endorsed by the city trash and recycling workers. Try to follow their trucks through the different areas and it happens way too often.

its the dpw cityworkers think they can get away with it...they turn people in all over but if you turn them in they will not pick up your garbage

maybe the residents should take more responsibility for the trash THEY created and put it in secured garbage bags! It's not the garbage men's fault! they shouldn't have to clean up after careless, lazy people.

Just because you are sleeping with a garbage man, stop defending it! I have seen it happen many times, ie: the handler drops the bag and it rips, instead of picking it up again, they tend to kick it and curse as indicated before.

Actually this complaint was about the 'Automatic Trucks" with the Forklift. NOT the guys that throw in the back. Those Large Garbage cans MUST have everything bagged in them to dump properly. I would never expect the driver to chase after blowing and loose garbage, the idea of those trucks was to have it picked up quickly and need only ONE man on a truck to cut down on taxes. He would never make it through his route chasing loose garbage of those who are uneducated or lazy that just toss it in so it falls out all over the place.

they are absolutely horrible, they go out of their way to throw the cans all over the place and are as loud and obnoxious as possible. Bunch of pigs who are where a bunch of pigs belong. Swaddling through garbage

I was the one you posted the original post .First of all all my trash is in large white trash bags so none of it is loose .I watched the gabage truck for a few weeks and every week something fell out of at least 2 trash cans on my street. On the day i posted this a bag of mine fell out of the truck and the man got out and started yelling like it was someone elses fault (like mine) was also swearing I think you you have an attitude about your job than go find another .I'm sure someone can do it better than you and with out the attitude.
