Description

Historic Hughes Place needs a no trucks signs, even moving trucks damage our tress almost daily. Trees are blooming and I would hate for them to get further clipped!

i agree about trucks on hughes place. hughes place is too small for trucks, and it is not an essential thoroughfare. even the street sweeper today knocked on lower branches of the cherry trees.

I have photos of huge tractor trailers coming down the street. Limbs are knocked down daily as some have only 10 feet of clearance. I would estimate 10,000 people a year (5,000 during the Cherry Blossom festival) walk down this Historic Street. A no truck sign would prevent needless damage to one of New Haven's unique historic Cherry Blossoms.

We met with Parks Dept. They are being assessed for replanting, trimming and making sure that they get the care they need! We got a new one planted today! Thanks to Christy Hass and URI for their efforts
