The parking meters on George Street in the area of 81 George all have hour limits or less on them. Is there a particular reason for this? My friend from Boston drove down this weekend to visit me on Saturday, until Sunday, and he could not park his car there for more than an hour. Instead we had to drive to the Dwight neighborhood and leave his car on a street there. At the time almost all the spots on George street were empty. Isn't that a little absurd at those time constraints? He was willing to pay the meter until 9pm and instead we had to drive it to another neighborhood where it was free. To me these limits do not make much sense, especially on the weekend and especially on George Street where many of the spots are usually empty.
Thanks
