City staff replaced the west bound pedestrian button on 4/21. Keep in mind that the canal trail's signal operation has changed. It is now intended to operate in sync with nearby signals. This change should move cars more efficiently on Bancroft, but may lead to longer wait times for trail users.

Thanks for the quick response time, but that's too bad about the added wait for trail users. Any idea if the wait time can be lessened on the weekends, when the trail usage often exceeds the traffic on Bancroft? That, or install advanced signal actuation so trail users are recognized by the signal even before they reach the intersection, which would lessen the wait time without affecting car traffic negatively.
