So what do you think can or should be done if any thing Civic Pride ? What day of the week or about what time of the day did this happen ? I think these facts matter. Can you please give us the full picture?
Any sunny day when kids are playing in the park. The parents or people going to the game are supposed to park in the parking lot. It happens almost ANY day . It makes it hard to pull out onto the street and unsafe for kids to cross the street.
So I drove over today at about 10:00 AM and again at about 3:00 PM and saw no parking problem at all and not a lot of kids. Did not see any games going on (when I was there).
I know I did ask for that info up front. Is there any "OTHER" info you are holding back? Come on, is this a real issue or not? I am just trying to find out. How did you get the 220 civic points? Buy bull sh*ting the people on this web page?
I drive this road every day after work (after 5pm) , and ANY time there's a baseball game it's an issue. It's clearly posted no parking, and people are too lazy to walk the extra 30 ft to the parking lot. It's just a matter of time before someone gets because of the poor visibility and congestion caused by the illegal parking.
The town of Hamden ignores tons of people everyday parking illegal and creating a dangerous situation for their kids at the park and other people driving this route.
His posts are always against those who justly complain about any situation
Think he(she?) is some clueless jerk who opposes the very publication of SeeClickFix and its' giving an opportunity for the public to gripe about civic affairs
Traffic relates primarily to the scheduling of kids" baseball games,
Yesterday morning it was jammed, with at least 3 games in progress, plus those folk at the little kids areas.
Parking lots and Waite and Ridge Rd overloaded as jhir says, mostly illegal
Solution? ---Need more legal space for parking.,
It is a mess, but I'd rather see the mess than prohibit the kids from playing,
It is dangerous though as jhir says
Maybe helpful would be to prohibit dog park use when the ball park is usually overloaded, as on Saturday mornings in the Spring
Use the dog park itself for parking as well as its parking lots for the baseball crowds.
Plenty of other times for the dog-folks
(Not anti=dog Hamden''s dog folks have appareently done a good job self-policing at the park, particularly as compared to those in nearby Towns.)
(According to Lifeguard he drove by the area at 7PM tonight which is a bit impossible as that time is still many hours in the future No wonder it was empty!!.).
