Description
I have seen LOTS of pedestrians and runners crossing Edwards Mill (heading east) with the walk indicator lit and almost get hit by cars turning right from Blue Ridge (I think that's the road). There's no protection for the pedestrians in the way of their own cross--ight or even a sign that warns cars to yield to pedestrians. You'd think car would automatically yield, but they're too busy looking to the left to see if they can turn right that they often don't see the pedestrians crossing.
An accident waiting to happen!
Thanks for checking this out.

This intersection needs traffic law enforcement.
The unsafe intersection is Edwards Mill Rd. at Duraliegh Rd. (not Blue Ridge Rd. as originally stated by BKNelson).
There are a lot of pedestrians and cyclists in an area with shopping and housing. Traffic laws are routinely broken by aggressive drivers leading to dangerous situations for pedestrians, cyclists, as well as other drivers.
I have also witnessed near misses between pedestrians and aggressive drivers breaking traffic laws.

It's been two weeks since the referral of this clickfix to the Public Works Department and it's been a month since BKNelson first reported this issue.
Please provide an update.

It is 6/8/2014 and almost two months since this original report on 4/13/2014.
The report was acknowledged but there has been no improvement with the issue and no update on the issue from the city of Raleigh.
Along with this public safety issue reported by BKNelson, SeeClickFix.com also appears to be broken as a method to fix issues within the city of Raleigh...
